Fake It Till You Make It

A bad piece of advice, taken apart. Fakers only make fakes.

"Fake it till you make it" is bullshit advice.

Fakers never make it.

Fakers only make fakes.

Nothing more.

This is more correct:

"If you fake it, you won't make it."

And that's not advice, it's just fact.

This is what you actually have to do to make it:

Get up and do it.

Work as hard as you can.

Do it as well as you can.

Fail.

Stand back up.

Do it again.

Work harder.

Do it better.

Fail again.

Get back up.

Do it again.

Work much harder.

Do it much better.

Fail again.

Repeat until you make it.

And keep this in mind: maybe you won't make it even if you try very hard. And if you make it, maybe nobody will care.

In that case, is it worth it?

I'm not sure.

But I'm on it anyway.

With all that I've got.

Reading is good. Training is better.

Put it into practice with a plan built for you.
